Job Profile

The candidate for this position will oversee, develop and manage all aspects of the business within the territory.  The ideal candidate will be able to successfully perform each duty, deliver sales growth, manage and train existing partners, and communicate effectively to the A&D industry. The following are the necessary qualifications and aspects of the role;

  • Bachelor Degree or proven equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience in the lighting design/products and versed in market structure - required
  • 3 years experience in a Sales or Design role - required
  • Microsoft Office, CRM’s, Outlook competency Digital Design tool knowledge
  • AutoCAD, Adobe Suite is a plus
  • Physical demands, the individual should be able to carry loads on wheels or luggage of 50 pounds
  • Travel requirements, up to 20% of the time

Direct Sales A&D Industry

  • Business Development Director is direct report
  • Prospect new clientele and set meetings with Architecture / Design firms
  • Diligent and rapidly respond and follow up on all in bound inquiries
  • Organized project management on projects of all sizes
  • Present introduction to the line with 5+ firms a week until the sales pipe is full
  • Deliver CEU presentations to forum of architects to spur new and recurring business
  • Work with the in-house design team to act as lighting consultant on limited scope projects
  • Exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction

Competencies, Product and Industry Knowledge

  • Become an expert on our catalog and products within 3 months, being able to answer technical questions that may arise during Specification meetings and Sales
  • Develops strategies to achieve or exceed goals, understands strengths & weaknesses, analyzes market
  • Focus on sales first, ignores distractions, delivers on the targets regardless of market conditions
  • Problem solving, design sensibility and organized
  • Manages multiple projects and delivers results
