Position Overview: Incredible opportunity for a Senior Interior Designer to join an award-winning, national multi-office firm that has been designing memorable spaces for over fifty years.  The ideal candidate will be a Licensed Interior Designer with a strong portfolio of hospitality and/or restaurant-food service work. The ideal candidate will have excellent client management skills, be able to sketch their conceptual ideas, lead a team of designers and have some knowledge of Revit.

Specific responsibilities of the Senior Interior Designer may include, but shall not be limited to:

•Participate in client meetings and confirm our understanding of the Client's project goals/requirements and communicate that to team members.
•Develop space programming and workplace strategies for projects.
•Manage program development and feasibility studies.
•Generate a design that can be technically implemented, within the constraints of the client goals, budget and within local ordinances and codes.
•Select materials, colors, fixtures and furniture.
•Explore alternate design directions within the constraints of the Clients program and budget, as required.
•Review selection of building systems with the Project Interior Designer/Project Architect.
•Lead graphic formatting and story board of client presentations.
•Lead or participate in presentations that communicate the design concepts to the Client
•Develop and oversee the design goals for multiple projects with team leadership under direction of Director of Interior Design or the Principal.
•Inform and report to Director of Interior Design and project manager on project progress, quality and challenges that could impact project profitability or execution.
•Collaborate with a team of Designers and Architects in developing design solutions that meet the Client’s needs on time and within budget.
•Participate in developing proposals, marketing presentations and lead development.
•Participate in the development of firm design standards.
•Develop schematic design, design development, construction documents for Interior Architecture, including developing details in conjunction with the junior staff.
•Review shop drawings and material samples for conformance with the design intent.
•Review completed projects for design strengths and weaknesses.
•Coordinate presentation drawings and in-house reviews.
•Monitor all phases of project design execution to minimize rework.
•Maintain base local registration, and professional affiliations.
•Participate in development of marketing and PR collateral.

Will lead teams of other designers.


•Ideal candidate will be NCIDQ Registered in Georgia - Interior Designer/Architect
•10+ years professional design experience
•Highly Creative, collaborative and inspiring team design leader
•Ability to develop project programs, initial design concepts, and establish project goals
•Client Management and user interface experience
•Strong understanding of construction methods in Interior Architecture
•Experience on multi-disciplined architecture teams
•Strong interest in research-based and theoretical design concepts
•Background and experience in business development activities
•Knowledge of Revit
